WR-FPC LIF & ZIF Connectors W rth Elektronik WR-FPC Product Family includes SMT 1.00mm and 0.5mm pitch LIF (Low Insertion Force) Connectors along with ZIF Connectors. LIF Connectors have become increasingly common in several applications, such as when a small display (screen) or keyboard is required. LIF connectors were developed to meet a combination of requirements: low profile, lightweight, and a secure removable connection. The connectors can be used to fasten wires to a printed circuit board inside a piece of electronic equipment as a one-connector solution. On a printed circuit board, LIF connectors can be used with flat flexible cables, WR-FFC series. Compared to ZIF, LIF connectors are better for static applications because they use friction to secure the FFC, contain no moving parts, and are more cost-effective.
