These seals are compression molded as one solid piece, eliminating the process of joining the two ends together like vulcanized-joined O-rings. The jam nut seal material is available in four options: silicone nickel graphite, fluorosilicone nickel graphite, silicone silver aluminum, and fluorosilicone silver aluminum. TE Kemtron Jam Nut Seals are compliant with MIL-DTL-38999 and MIL-DTL-26482 and operate in a temperature range of -55°C to +160°C.
