The device is ideal for linear feedback power supplies. The primary side controllers of the device enable improvements in transient response, power density, and stability as compared to commonly used optocoupler and shunt regulator solutions. Included in the device is a wideband operational amplifier for a variety of commonly used power supply loop compensation techniques. The device is fast enough to allow a feedback loop to react to fast transient conditions and overcurrent conditions. Also included is a high accuracy 1.225V reference to compare with the supply output setpoint. It is widely used in application such as linear feedback power supplies, inverters, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) DOSA-compatible modules, voltage monitors etc. • Stable over time and temperature, compatible with DOSA• Initial accuracy is 0.5%, 1% accuracy over the full temperature range• Compatible with type II or type III compensation networks• Low power operation is <7mA total• Wide voltage supply range is 3V to 20V (VDD1 and VDD2)• Isolation voltage is 5kV rms reinforced• Input bias current is 0.01µA typ at (VDD1 = VDD2 = 3V to 20V for TA = tmin to tmax)• Common-mode rejection is 72dB typ at (VDD1 = VDD2 = 3V to 20V for TA = tmin to tmax)• Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, bandwidth is 200kHz• Packaging style is 16-lead SOIC• IC
