The integrated internal USB multiplexor allows the TPS65982BB to support up to two USB Type-C ports. The Texas Instruments TPS65982BB communicates with USB-PD port controllers using an I 2 C interface to enable the billboard as well as update stored billboard strings. An integrated 5V load switch provides VBUS protection for an optional USB Type-A port.
