The single chip system in package (SiP) integrates MCU and pre-driver for a sensorless solution that saves board space and lowers system costs while enabling levels of low-speed rotation and high torque control that competitive solutions cannot achieve. Single package motor control IC integrates RL78/G1F MCU and pre-driver reducing system size and external components to reduce overall cost with an 8x8 mm all-in-one package. With more efficient MOSFET switching, motor drive efficiency is improved by 35% and better thermal performance eliminates need for a heat sink. This control IC for brushless motors which are growing in industrial and home markets. Typically used in power tools, garden tools, vacuum cleaners, printers, fans, pumps and robotics.
